Dear All,
Absolutely fantastic website with many extremely helpful people - I'm going through the whole process of home tutoring for the first time with my daughter - and would appreciate any replies to this question
odd two out -
Wales, Yorkshire, Cornwall, Nottingham, Devon
The answers are Wales and Nottingham - but I can't see the reasoning behind it - I have defeated my embarassment (took 3 days!) and decided to post.

Wales is a country, Nottingham is a town/city, the other 3 are counties

Welcome to the forum.
Always look for the 3 that are related first.
Yorkshire, Cornwall and Devon are Counties.
Wales is a country and Nottingham is a city. The 2 that are odd do not need to be related thay could be as obscure as table and mother.
Good Luck with your preparation.
Patricia

The Cornish nationalists might disagree.
This can't be a real 11+ question from a real paper, surely?

The Olympic flame has landed in the UK on board a flight from Athens, ready for the London 2012 torch relay.
The plane touched down at a Cornish air base just before 19:30BST carrying Princess Anne, Locog chairman Lord Coe and footballer David Beckham.

That'll be the Greeks sending the Olympic flame to the senior UK country.
