advice on using verbal reasoning practise papers etc
Would anyone have advice on which papers/books would be best to use for Verbal Reasoning test practise - Standard format?
The examining body is NFER, but we have only seen 3 of their available test papers and otherwise I can only find Multiple Choice papers at the moment.
The LEA we fall within is Warwickshire, who are not forthcoming on any information and neither can I find much information on the local strand of the Forum for this region.
I was also wondering on what criteria the essays are marked and if anyone knew if the results for the 2 VR papers taken at test centres in the Warwickshire Region are amalgamated with the English essay component or if the essays are used as a 'decider' if candidates score highly on the VR papers and there would be too many potential applicants for the school.
Also, what happens in a situation where the number of pupils who score very highly exceeds the number of school places on offer?
Any advice would be appreciated.
I am impressed with this site, by-the-way - thanks.
