4 words 3 code questions

sometimes these take dd quite a long time to work out
is there a quick way to work them out
at the moment she looks for letters the same at the begining of a word, then the end and if there is none she then looks to see what words have same letters and trys to work it from here
we have the tutors download of 50 questions of each but we discovered that it asks you for a code of a word given and if you look at the answers they give you there is only one code that matches the 3 given so you automatically have the answer and you can then quickly work out the rest
obviously this is not how the real test are and it is not giving her the practice she needs to work it out
anyone know of where i can find some for her to practice so she can build up her speed as the only ones she does are the ones in the tests i give her
