I was wondering if someone could help me with a doubt.It is regarding type 20 questions(word-number code) . just wanted to know if there is a standard method of working out these kind of questions. Most of them are straightforward and can be worked out by selecting a number which occupies atleast two different positions or places.

for eg

KIND LINK LEAD KING
3428 7951 7423

here we can select the number 3 because it occupies the first place and the fourth place. Then look for the letter that occupies the first place and the fourth place and then work it out from there.However in questions where there are two numbers occupying similar places it's a bit tricky to use this method.what is the best method to work out questions like the ones below:
1) SKIN RISK WORK OVEN

3846 5438 7126
Find the code for the word SNORE

2)FLAG LEAF GOLD BRAG

6821 2943 3246

Find the word for the code 94629

SKIN RISK WORK OVEN

3846 5438 7126
Find the code for the word SNORE
In this case the first code starts with 384 and the second ends with 438 (i.e. the same number in a different order). The only words this pattern applies to are SKIN and RISK
-> 3846 is SKIN (3=S, 8=K 4=I 6=N) and 5438 is RISK (5=R, 8=K, 4=I, 6=N)

substituting the 6 (N) into 7126 gives 712N - which as the only remaining word ending in N has to be OVEN (7=O, 1=V, 2=E)

SNORE therfore is 36752.
FLAG LEAF GOLD BRAG

6821 2943 3246

Find the word for the code 94629
Here you have 2 in 1st (2943), 2nd (3246) and 3rd (6821) positions. The only letter which matches this pattern is L therefore L=2. This identifies the words as:
6821 is GOLD (6=G, 8=O, D=1)
2943 is LEAF (9=E, 4=A, 3=F)
3246 is FLAG (but that doesn't actually give any extra letters)

94629 = EAGLE
