Practice papers - levels of difficulty ?

Post by Nikki00 »

Hi just started teaching my DD VR and she is finding the GL papers difficult. Are other providers easier so we can work our way up to GL and increase her confidence. (The school test she will sit is GL). Thanks

Try the IPS papers, they do some very good ten minutes tests in Maths and VR as well. The Alpha papers as well are easier than GL.

Is it the difficulty or the timing ? Try a few questions from the Gl with no time limit. If she is able to do them and understands what is required for the different types of questions then you can move on to speed at a later stage.

I have worked through the Susan J Daughtrey Technique and Practice books with my DS before giving him any papers. He found them very useful to understand how to tackle each type of questions. I am now going to give him the Learning Lab verbal reasoning papers by Madeline Guyon or the IPS verbal reasoning before giving him the GL papers.

I was debating to let him complete a GL paper in these half term holidays but will probably until after Easter now.

You have to do a maths, verbal and non verbal reasoning paper. All multiple choice questions.
