Hi, all,

When marking the paper, 'weight' is a factor. Can anyone tell me how the 'weight' is calculated? Or what factors are there in the 'eight'? Of course, age is one of them What else?

I think it varies by region, school and how many papers are sat.

In my area VR, English and Maths are tested. Some schools publish the weighting of these , e.g. 25% of marks for Eng/ Maths and 50% for VR. Others keep it top secret!

Yet others use VR to rank the candidates and take, say, the top 100 provided they have also achieved a minimum of 50% in the other 2 papers.

Not much help, I know!
