VR problems!

Can anyone help with a Type P question - IPS VR practice paper 3 question 14?

25, 19, 22, 23, 19, 27, ? answer is 16 - why?

Also drawing blanks on a Type L Question, same paper question 42...

TT, TS, QR, QQ, ? answer NP Why?

Do not treat the numbers as necessarily only one sequence. Look at them as two sets -
ie - 25 22 19 ?? (16 as you are sutracting 3 each time)
19 23 27 (and the next would be 31 if asked, as adding 4 each time)
TT, TS, QR, QQ, ? answer NP Why?
I see this one like this - look at the first letter in each pair

T T Q Q N as they are 3 apart but repeated so the next first letter would be N too

Now look at the second letter in each pair -

T S R Q (it is the alphabet backwards in seuence, hence P

The first one is a double pattern i.e. every other number makes a pattern

25, , 22, ,19, , ....

each number goes down by 3 - so the nect needed is 16

and 19, ,23, , 27 not needed


The second you need to look at the first and second letter separately:

T S R Q P O N M

T - , T - , Q - , Q - , each letter has jumped two so the fist letter is N

- T , - S , - R , - Q , - letters in reverse alphabetical order so the next is P
