Please let me know if there are significant differences between 11+ and 12+ exams and if so, where can I get materials to help with 12+? Will 11+ materials suffice. This is for Bucks VR 12+

I believe it's the same level and types of question as 11+ except for the 12+ the students have to do 85 questions in 45 minutes (rather than 80 questions in 50 minutes).

Check this with Patricia on the Bucks forum as she's the expert.

Good luck.

Hi Dada

Jed is absolutely right. Exactly the same question types, i.e. no harder, but 85 questions in 40 minutes. It just raises the barrier a little.

Applications for 12+ have to be in by roughly Jan 1st, and exams take place at central locations in late April. Check the Bucks CC website for this year's deadlines - I'm not sure if they have been published yet.

Also, be aware that County are now expecting 2 x Level 5 SATs as a bare minimum "entrance requirement" for the 12+, unless there is strong support from the Head and mitigating circumstances.

All the best
