Are there any good resources that can help with the techniques for handling the VR questions including the descriptions of the different types? :?

Dear Mumglo

Will depend on the area/school you are applying for. If the test is produced by G L Assessment [formally NFER] and is in Multiple Choice form, the following links will be of some help.

Hi Patricia

NFER are still the test authors for areas where GL Assesment are the test providers. GL Assesment is the new name for nferNelson

Regards

Mike

Is the VR format for Essex the standard or the multiple choice version? :?

Also can you please let me know where can I purchase the GL VR papers?

Hi mumglo

Essex (consortium) is multiple choice.

The GL papers are still called NFER, and can be bought from the bookshop on this website.

You should also read Patricia's "Sticky" on the Bucks section about DIY tutoring tips, because all the advice on there applies equally to the Essex VR tests.

Hi

I am trying to access the tutors method and technique pdf file that is referred to above but the file shows as damaged and cannot be repaired  Can anybody help? My daughter has some homework to complete on type 19 word number codes and I cannot seem to make any sense of the example or the actual questions she has been set.

Thanks in advance :)

Dear Polly0494

I have just tried opening the file, its OK at the moment, perhaps try again. If not try posting the questions on here, so we can help.
