please can you clarify this question anybody

why is the answer SOUL AND ALCOHOL as being the two odd ones out

from SOUL GRIT ALCOHOL PLUCK SPIRIT

Hmm I remember this one well :-)

I think Grit, Pluck and Spirit are linked - as in 'to show fortitude'.
