But if the total number of questions are 160, how do they have that 230 smth pass mark? Plus standartisation?

Yes I absolutely do not understand how they arrive at a mark of say 137 for a child, could some kind person explain in laymans terms TVM in advance

As such depends on the average performance of all the boys or girls! My DS sat the Tiffin Boys yesterday.
