Hi,
Just looking around for a new piano teacher and wondered if any of you can help me find out what the going rate around here (London/Surrey border) is? We are currently paying £15 per half hour, but have heard that many are paying far less (and some more).
Any info gratefully received.

We pay £20 for 40 minutes.

We used to have a very old lady who tutored my daughter ( and many others!) for the love of it for £3.50 for 30 minutes!, sadly we moved away :( !

Hi

I have two dd's who have different teachers. One is £16 for 1/2 hour and we go to her, the other is £15 1/2 hour and she comes to us. For various reasons we feel they are both with the best teacher for them ( they have different teaching styles) hence not opting to put both with the cheaper option - especially as it's a 20 minute drive each way to the other!

Thanks everybody,

Friends of mine pay £15, £16 and £20 per 1/2 hour and one pays £18,50 per 45 mins.
The £15-£16 per 30mins seems about the going rate.
