Sutton Grammar - Latin (sorry, niche post)

Hello, any parents from Sutton Grammar,

I was just interested to know Sutton teaches Latin/Classics at any point - I couldn't find it on the website, and I confess we visited so many boys' schools they've all blurred into one :) It's just that the other grammar schools in Sutton seem to teach it (at least up to some point).

Many thanks for any replies!

That question's a bit out of my pay grade I'm afraid!

I've been here for over 11 years, and it has never been taught in all my time here, though the former Deputy Head did do a little bit of introductory Latin with year 7's just for fun many years ago.

Thanks for replying Admissions Lady. :)

I would like to see it as part of your curriculum (if you could pass the message on!!). It's what a grammar school was originally set up to teach and provides a very useful basis for teaching all sorts of subjects. It is the only negative for me in an otherwise outstanding school! Admittedly, I wouldn't let it stand in our way if my DC were fortunate enough to get a place there (!) but it would be the icing on the cake!
