Non selective state schools in Surbiton, Kingston,Teddington
Does anyone know of any good non selective state secondary schools in these areas? Looking for entry in to Yr 8 and preferably girls only.
Any information will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Josa,
There isn't a huge amount of choice of girls only schools in these areas. You basically have Tolworth Girls in Tolworth, Coombe girls in New Malden or Holy Cross if you're catholic, also in New Malden. All three schools have their own strengths and a very different "feel" from each other.
Not sure about Teddington - is Waldegrave girls only?

Waldegrave is girls only but is in Twickenham, not Teddington, if that makes a difference. It operates a catchment system, though I don't know whether that applies to entries after Year 7.

Waldegrave is more Teddington than Twickenham and is an excellent girls' school.
Cinnamon is right though in that it operates a fairly strange catchment system which would potentially affect your chances of a place is a waiting list is in operation. If there is no list for Year 8 and a space available though, this wouldn't matter.
