Adjudicator has issued determinations about the objections to the admission arrangements of Sutton Grammar, Tiffin Girls and Wallington Girls Schools, in conjuction with the determination about Latymer School.

The objectors (parents) are seeking clarifications as there are some obvious errors of facts and contradictions with the precedents (i.e existing determinations).

However, it appears that following determinations have been made.

1. Sutton Grammar and Tiffins girls should have properly consulted about change to two stage testing. Their 2 stage test arrangements are without proper consultations. Objection Upheld.

2. Sutton Grammar failed to publish its Determined Admission Arrangements, in violation of the Admission Code. Objection upheld.

3. Schools can give outcome in any format as they please, including mere pass/fail format. Objection not upheld.

Full decisions will be appear on OSA website in few days.

Interesting info. Do you know whether the Sutton and Tiffin Girls second exams will be scrapped this year or is it just saying that they should have given more notice?

Prospective TGS parents should write to the school directly. It seems hardly any one write to them, so the few who dare are not given any importance.

Hope to read the determination in full and then would make comments, though bit worried about about original poster mentioned about errors of facts in the determination.

Hi,

How do you know this - is there a website where they specify which determinations have been made before they put it up on their website, or do they specify to the objectors first before they publish the info to the public.

What impact do the adjudications have on this year's exams if any?

1. They inform objectors and Schools first.
2. The determinations are published on Office of School Adjudicators website. may take few days.
3. Where objections are upheld, schools have to immediately ammend their Admission Arrangements to give effect to the decisions of the Adjudicator.

As mentioned before, there are errors in determinations which are being taken up now.
However, read the determinations carefully, before reaching to any conclusion. I am also surprized to see that even as of now Sutton Grammar School has not published it Determined Admission Arrangements as yet, which was easy to do for a start, (or should have been done as soon as the objection was first raised). They perhaps are still deliberating upon the determinations.

Oh Fabulous! I assume neither school will make any changes as we are now way too close to the actual tests to do that. What a farce, both the decision to make it a 2 stage test (I was then and remain astonished by that decision) and this now. When was the adjudication made?
