Thanks for the message - Happy New Year and hello to all who took the test today! How did your son(s) find it? My son found the maths more difficult than other tests he has had, the reasoning appeared to be all VR with no NVR (disappointing as he is great at NVR) and the english paper I fear he has bombed completely ... oh well.

Incidentally our surname begins with P and his canidate number was in the 1240's  Good grief - how many applicants did they have this year!

Wen - that matches what my son said. He rushed his english paper and found the maths more difficult than usual. He is very good at maths and it is his strongest area. I suppose this is no surprise as Wilsons is a maths and IT specialist school. One thing that surprised me was that he said the VR was OK - this is usually an area that he is weaker in.

Good luck to all :D

PS. To all who replied - was Wilsons your 1st choice? It was 2nd for us due to the difficult journey from home-school.

It is so confusing listening to children after exams my son usually is very good at verbal but he did find the VR the hardest out of the three.
Wilson is our first choice all we can do now is wait and wait...

Dear Sandy

Your right, different children will say different things, we can't really tell exactly how it will turn out.....even though that's all we want to know at the moment!

Last year, for another very tough selective school in another area, a friend's son told his mum that the test was so hard.... but he got in. Another boy was so upset because he missed out a whole page... he got in as well.

So we'll just have to sit here and wait......

By the way, Wilson's is not our first choice but we do like it a lot.

Our surname is R and my son's number was in 1280's!!!

Take care
Wen

Hey guys ...

The word PAYBACK springs to mind.

Those children decided to give their parents a cardiac over the next couple of months waiting for the results ... of course they did not miss a page or find it hard. Duh! After all we all prepared them well. They are just getting even for all the **** we put them through.
