Hi

Can someone please explain whether its better to live the catchment area than not? Someone said the competition might be greater with in the catchment area and less if you live outside?

is there a difference in the pass mark when living within the catchment area and outside?

Hi there I think you have been given bad advice. Out of catchment need to get the top 100 scores. These are the highest marks regardless of where you live. The remaining places are allocated on the basis of two catchment areas. Check the entrance requirements on the school website for details of the areas covered.

Yes, so it's easier to get in if you are in the catchment area. There's probably a golden area where you might fall within the favoured catchments of Wallington and Nonsuch which would be a result!
