that is great score indeed.Justin wrote:We were offered a place at Nonsuch with OOC 245 score. Very happy, didn't enjoy the 4 month wait though!
actually you didn't need to be scared at all!
Re: Nonsuch News/ Results?
Thanks, was worried about the "Tiffin" effect...but as it turns out the pass mark stayed pretty much static against previous years.

Re: Nonsuch News/ Results?
We have been offered our third choice - Tonbridge Grammar School. Our first choice was Tiffin and DD scored 43.59 and second choice was Non Such, score of 229 (ooc)
I have no hopes from Tiffin but does anyone think we may get Non Such through the wait list. Does anyone know if scores of first round cut off went down last year?? Really difficult to wait for another few weeks before they declare the waiting list number
Thanks

Not much heard about Nonsuch wait list. 2 years ago, I was told that there were quite a few girls tied at the initial cut-off score that cut-off score didn't move even though 4-5 girls got admitted from the wait list.
If commute is convenient, Tonbridge GS is also a very good school.

If you were in the finance sector we would have avoided a world wide recessiontiffinboys wrote:Well, good guesstimates...................tiffinboys wrote:As SVE has very rightly pointed out, the guesstimates should be taken with a pinch of salt.
FWIW, my estimate is 230-232 for OOC and 208-210 for IC candidates.
Last year, there was a drop in the number of candidates to 1400 approx from 1500 a year before. I expect that cut-offs for 2014 entry will be around 2012 entry level.
See you all on 3rd March.
Thank you and congrats!!
