We are considering whether our son should sit the second stage test at Sutton grammar School in Nov, having just received details of the test arrangements. Our concerns are over the travel arrangements should he be offered a place there, we live near Coulsdon Town Station, CR5 and have looked at tfl journey planner to have a look at bus routes. Average journey time seems to be an hour, with two bus changes.

Would love to hear from other parents who live in Coulsdon area about their son's journey to Sutton Grammar School, which buses are the best option and how does your son find the journey. Worried that it is a long journey, could miss a bus or experience bus delays, arriving home very late etc.

Would greatly appreciate any advise regarding the above, before the closing date of the CAF.

Thanks

I used to do a similar journey in the 1980s but from Woodmansterne to Cheam which involved three buses. Coulsdon to Sutton is certainly do-able assuming the buses are reliable
