Grammars vs Independents; Levels?
Anyone here looking at independents?
Since we only took Tiffins (Boys) I have no idea of the level of the English or Maths exams that the likes of SGS, TGS etc. have set. I expect that the level is lower for the independent school exams, but when I have looked for past papers or sample papers the ability level required seems almost too low to really differentiate!
One set of sample papers I found is from CoLFS school at this link:

Since we've been preparing using mainly Grammar school level papers - eg HABS and MGS - I feel quite confident looking at those sample papers!
Any thoughts most welcome...

Hi -understood re HABS and MGS, I just meant that I'd been using their past papers as a guideline to teach him, as well as others.
Hampton / KGS / Reeds / City of London Freemans
No Bursary potential, but hoping for some level of scholarship either academic or sport or all-rounder as he has the ability levels required, though not expecting anything about 10-25% unless get lucky.
