Hi, all locals to this school, can you please advise locations near to Nonsuch school from where school and commuting to Central London would be both possible? Relocating from Bristol as both school admission to Nonsuch as well work place moved to London. DD starting Nonsuch in September. Looking for areas that are safe and good locality.
Many thanks in advance.
Nonsuchdad.

I recommend Sutton, big station, good commute. Or Cheam, which is closer to Nonsuch, quieter area, but commute is not as good

Look up Worcester Park(Zone 4) area. Easy bus ride to Nonsuch and good train connection to the Waterloo station(25-28 min).

Worcester Park has busy BR train station. Train to Waterloo. You could have ug connections At Waterloo, Vauxhall and Wimbledon.

Other area is Cheam itself. Trains to Sutton, Croydon and London

Carshalton? two train stations ( Carshalton and Carshalton Beeches) Your DD could get the train to Cheam or get the bus into Sutton and change there. Many girls do that journey from Carshalton or Wallington and it only takes about 15-20mins to Cheam

Sounds great to be relocating and have the school lined up. If it was me I'd be looking to be as close to the school as you could so it is walking distance and take the train in from Cheam. Just watch out for your commute time though as 'central London' can mean a long way (or not) from the station you arrive at. Looks like the Cheam train goes to Clapham Junction and therefore you have the choice to change there for Waterloo or Victoria. Depends on budget etc of course!

Cheam would be a good location. 35 minutes direct train to Victoria and a 40 minutes direct train to London Bridge. Can change at Balham for the underground, Sutton for City Thames Link or Clapham Junction for Waterloo.

However, parts of it are slightly expensive.

Thank you all.
Maybe will first explore Cheam, if can't find anything that suits pocket, will look elsewhere...how about areas near to Sutton station? Say South Sutton ?
