Hi all - just got the email below....

Dear Parent

Your son **** has been invited to attend the Second Stage Test for entry into Tiffin School in September 2016.

• The Second Stage Testing takes place on Tuesday 10 November.
• Your son will need to be at the London Road gate of Tiffin School by 8.15am.
• He will be taking three exams – reading comprehension, writing, and maths.
• He will need to bring, biro or fountain pen, pencil, and eraser.
• There will be breaks between the papers.
• We expect the exams to be finished by 12.20pm approximately.

Further details regarding actual seating will be emailed on Tuesday 3 November.

I didn't realise there were 3 exams.... Read comp too. Will be a long morning for the boys.

Any advice from parents with experience on what we can do to prepare?

Wondering what includes in reading comprehension... i am feeling they may give a passage to the kids and let them read it for a minute or two.

Advices please...

Ok, with a little research, i understood that its a normal comprehension passage that they skipped in the first stage...

But, will it be multiple choice or standard type...?

Have you not heard of English comprehension?

Stage 2 exam seems to be similar to what Tiffin Girls have been doing since 2012.

The comprehension will be standard, not multiple choice.
