WGS has sent the test scores.
Outside catchment cut-off is 523.62 this year.
how low can it go down in the coming months based on previous years
and hence waiting list children would be offered a place? thanks in advance!

Do Wallington Girls send out the marks to everyone, my DD failed but we have received nothing whereas her 2 classmates who also failed have been given their test scores.

Our DD passed and was given the marks, where as my niece also passed but not been given her score?
School admissions are not transparent enough any more I guess,

Can someone help me reverse those cut-offs back into the individual standardised scores which make them up?
I don't know what proportion of DCs passed the SET this year (2016 entry), but I know they gave good stats for the cohort entering in 2015 which said that 42% passed the SET. The equates to a minimum standardised score of 102.93 assuming a standard deviation of 15). I'm going to assume that was the same this year (as I have no other information to go on).
With an in-catchment cut-off of 477.44, that means that to reach the in-catchment cut-off a DC must have gained a score of at lease 374.51 in the second stage (i.e. 477.44 - 102.93). From memory, I think Wallington Girls weight the papers as 1:2:2 (SET : 2nd Stage Maths : 2nd Stage English) which probably means that a score of 374.51 in the second stage means a standardised score of 93.6275 (374.51 / 4) in each of the 2nd stage papers. Again assuming a standard deviation of 15, that standardised score would have been attained by 66% of those DC taking the second stage.
So 66% of the 42% who passed the SET reached the in-catchment cut-off, which is about 28% of the original cohort taking the SET (i.e. 66% of 42%). Have I got all that about right? (Clearly 28% of the original cohort haven't gained places at Wallington Girls - that would be way too many girls for the PAN - as many have gone elsewhere, but if my maths is correct then 28% achieved the in-catchment cut-off.)
