Age Standardised Scores?

Re: Age Standardised Scores?
Toadmum has outlined how age standardisation would usually work given a large enough population - indeed this is approximately the procedure used for the SET (which will be sat by around 5,000 children). However for the 2nd round tests (with around 800 sitting) the Sutton boys schools have previously used an approximation which adds a number of marks to your score depending on what your birth month is: Sept-Nov had 0 points added, Dec-Feb had 1 point added, March- May had 2 points, June-August 3. Reading Wilsons Q&A, I suspect that they have reverted to this method for the second round.

Thanks for the clarifications
