NVR?

Post by qpootle5 »

I was under the impression that the sutton grammar schools only test verbal reasoning (and english and mathematics) and do not test non- verbal reasoning. I met a mum today that said this is not the case. Can any one confirm please? Also, the Whitgift practise paper states 'reasoning' as a discipline can anyone help here too?
Many thanks.

Certainly no non-verbal reasoning in any of the grammar or independent papers last year!

Sorry. Me again! Why does the Sutton Grammar School mock test have a NVR section? Is it possible to not sit this part?

In the results from mock Exam each subject is marked separately
so in opinion it doesn't matter

Anyway - Mock exam is shorter than the proper one, it is designed to be a taster rather than measurement of your child abilities

The mock exam is organised by the PTA not the school. It is designed to appeal to boys and girls and those sitting other schools tests. It has no English component and does maths, VR and NVR as these can be computer marked.

I told my boys not to worry about the NVR and have fun.
