I am keen to hear views/opinions/experience from any parent with a DS already in Wilsons,Wallington boys and Sutton boys Grammar schools from previous years. I'd to hear your views from these areas:

-Academically
Were you happy with the teaching methods? How did your son cope with unfamiliar subjects such as French,Latin,German e.t.c?Was there any extra help given to strugglers inorder to give them an equal footing compared to others? Was the amount of daily homeworks given manageable, or the school was more interested in keeping up the best position in league tables?
Were the Teachers keen to work with parents when it comes to helping individuals to achieve the best?
Were they many GCSE leavers who were happy to continue with their A-Levels there? Was there any school's restricted pass mark in order to be allowed to take a certain A-Level subject?

-Socially
Was it easy for your DS to settle in?
Did the Teachers and older pupils try to make new pupils feel at home by engaging them in their activities?
Do they have parents' social gathering?I hear Wallington has got something like international day.

-Sports
Was it compulsory to do certain sports?
Did they have to travel far to compete games with other schools?

I do realise that the opinions and experience might differ, as it depends on lots of factors such as a child's hard working ability, attitude towards life e.t.c but nevertheless, each opinion will be valued!
P.S Any view from an area not covered above is also warmly welcomed.

I would also like to know which of those schools caters best for boys who are into drama and arts and who are less intereested in team sports.
