If anyone out there has any experience of their DD taking the WHS exam or any girls currently at the school I would love to hear from you. Is the exam generally very tough ? Any thoughts/comments would be great as DD sits the exam on Thursday.

DD took this 2 years ago and did fine despite reporting it as hard. You should expect the content to be similar to others...I seem to remember there was English, Maths and a section of Reasoning.
It is nothing to worry about if you have prepared for similar.
We really loved WHS but found a cheaper option in Grammar... it was so nice it was really tempting....

I can understand your motives but, most grammars are not selective beyond GCSE: in my experience that means the A level cohort is a very mixed bunch and there is often a huge attrition rate in the most demanding subjects during the two A level years. A levels are no longer the gold standard they were yet state schools are prohibited from IB and not many take the Pre U. If you really want to maximise you offspring's options and take a punt against future governments meddling I think a good Indy is the best choice. Further more if you can fund boarding you will be enabling your dd to socialise and make friends for life!
