I heard a great story this week. A boy went for interview at a reasonably posh private school.
He had previously failed the Bucks 11+. The interviewer asked him why he wanted a place at the school. The boy answered "because it's the last resort"!
The interviewer hooted with laughter, and yes, he got the place.

It shows that the children should be themselves, to some degree.
