Re: Help? Accepted NL Consortium school today now DD crying
Hi there. I remember lots of lots of tears at the time of secondary school selection. I certainly had a different approach in that I told my DD that at the end of the day the final decision had to be down to the parent.
Now three years on she appears very glad with the choice made. It was not an easy or obvious one but importantly it was the right one. Whatever school you choose will have challenges; lots of new people and some friends inevitably elsewhere.
Ultimately you are the parent and they are the child. It is your responsibility. Your child is not in a position to make that choice for you.

Hi Susan,
Just wondered how your daughter is feeling now? Is she feeling better about her decision? I was in a slight panic the night we made our decison but now really feel it was absolutely the right decison. We chose NHEHS over LEH ...difficult decison but made for all the right reasons.
Hope your daughter is happier and looking forward to starting.
Best Wishes
