Hi,

Does anyone have any opinions or heard anything about how good or bad John Lyon (Harrow) is?

I'm a bit concerned their's lots of information on Habs etc but no information on John Lyon.

Any thoughts?

How difficult compared to other schools is it to get in? I've got this nasty feeling there criteria may not be as demanding as other indies?

Again any opinions?

I know nothing, so just looked at their exam results and leaver destinations on their website. It looks respectable but not stunning. You are not surrounded by Oxbridge entrants their by the looks of it. Maybe it's a school where you can do really well despite mediocre results at 11 or 13? Schools like that can be really good if that's what is needed at the time?

My friends' views of it remain the same...gets the best out of the boys, not as selective as some but still more than many...
