Getting into Alleyn's school

Hi, I am new to this forum and wondered if anyone knows how difficult it is to get into Alleyn's school. My DS sat the exam and was called for interview. Does this mean he is in with a chance. Apparently nearly 700 came for the exam. I have heard that they interview about 300 for about 80 places- this sounds very competitive to me. Has anyone else been through this process? I guess we will find out in the next week or so but I would appreciate any replies on this! Thank you..
