Congratulation to all who have received offer and best of luck to all those who are waiting for offers.

My DD has been awarded seat in HBS and also has received scholarship from St Helens.

We live in Pinner - now we are confused as to which offer to accept.

Distance wise - St. Helens
Financial - HBS
Extra curr - St. Helens
Ranking - HBS

Any suggestions.

Congratulations on your clever DD for her offers. Looking at your considerations, financial/ranking v distance/extra curricular activities. I think HBS wins hands down.

What % is the scholarship for? I would say St Helen's if it's financially viable - better facilities/sports/extra curricular as you say and you are so close to the school! I think the journey time is a big factor. What sort of time would she leave the house and get home in the evening for HBS?

I would also say in your daughter's case, don't get too hung up on a school's ranking and results etc. She is obviously a very bright girl and will should get A/A* grades at whatever school she goes to. She won't do any better at HBS than anywhere else.

What is your daughter like and what does she think about each school?

In both cases both schools are wonderful but choose the school that you can imagine her at,if that makes sense.

The scholarship is 30%.
St Helens travel will save 40 min in morn and even.

My DD's is still not sure - she has 1 friend who is going to St. Helens and 2 who are going to HBS. So her mind keeps wavering every few hours :-)

Guess we will continue debating this at home over the weekend.

Have a good weekend.
