I am trying to prep my DS for the new CEM exams. I have read in the forum that the maths progress tests (and answers) by s and s are invaluable, but I simply cannot get them anywhere! S and s do not have them on sale any longer and nothing to be re-printed until next year.

Tried eBay, WHSmith, amazon, you name it. They are not available anywhere. Can anyone help please? Is anyone willing to 'loan' me a copy (edited by moderator) please? I am willing to pay for postage and the bother. I appreciate your help in advance.

And for the parents who have provided so much information about the CEM paper contents (Birmingham,) thank you so very much.

It might be difficult for someone to loan these to you s you write the answers directly into the book. Have you tried waterstones or your local library which is where we bought ours? Also I have just looked on amazon and they are there. You want the mental arithmetic papers. Take another look. But you may prefer a company which pays its taxes

I also have a copy of of S&S Progress Papers 2 bought only a couple of weeks ago from Waterstones, so I'd try there if you have one near you.

Thank you all so very kindly for your advice and suggestions. I do check amazon but will go to waterstones and whsmith Holborn. Am I looking for the right thing though? I have already got the mental arithmetic books (3-5). Someone mentioned these. Aren't the progress tests different (or am I just being dizzy here?) cos on amazon, the mental arithmetic books are available but not the progress tests.

Anyway, I am going to waterstones and then Holborn whsmith. Thank you all for your kind responses and help.

I think the progress tests are actually in the mental maths books at the end of each section.

No the progress papers are longer questions - some of which they'd be very unlikely to do mentally.
