Hi
I am new to this forum. Congrats to all of your DC for their fantastic achievement and good luck to all of you waiting.
My DD has got offers from all the schools she sat in, it is now decision making time between NLCS and LEH. Distance isn't too much of a problem , we are anyway moving close to her school whichever one it is.

Would anyone out there have any experience comparing these schools. Any replies/PMs most gratefully received.

Many thanks

Hi,

We were in exactly similar predicament last year - and it was an extremely difficult choice. Based on offers available our final shortlist were these two schools. We couldn't separate these two even after being in touch with a few parents of DD's attending there, school visits, loads of other information search and trolling on forums such as this.

The factor which edged it for us in favour of NLCS was travel time (which is not a factor for you !). Another was the final destinations of the school leavers - and both are matters of personal considerations.

All I can say - is that (in all probability) you will not be missing an awful lot of you choose any one of these two. Both are great institutions.

Good Luck !

Thanks a lot aban.

Other than a difference in the %age leaving for Oxbridge, my limited 'research' found that subjects chosen by school leavers seemed pretty much the same amongst the 2.

Where would I be able to get the trend of school leavers destination over the past few years? Also the labelling as 'specialist school for technology', 'sciences, 'languages' etc- not sure if these do matter.

In terms of pastoral care, my understanding is that both are excellent. Am I right?

Thanks
