I think you will have to. Also you need to look at the details as some are more inclusive than others.

Some charge additionally for:
lunch, exam fees, clubs

Pretty much all charge for:
music tuition, trips

marvellous publication... have a few from the 1890s

to the OP - yes you have to look at each school site and compare like with like as to what is included and then add a bit each year for inflation. (+uniform/ travel etc etc )

Best start with the schools you have most interest in

I don't know why you would NOT look up each school; there can't be that many in your area.

Here, they range from £16,660 (Merchant Taylor's) and £15,540 (NLCS) to those at around £12,000 per annum. These fees are going up, though - I do know that.

It varies from school to school so check the websites.

Factor in the fact that fees go up (in London anyway) by about 5% per year (cynically I'm thinking its probably at least that). Apart from a scholarship you can sometimes secure a discount by paying in advance.

For interest, in Great Britain:

The most expensive (boarding school) education available costs £32,346 per annum at Brighton College.
The least expensive (day school) education available costs £8,334 per annum at Sunderland High School.

(2012 figures per Whitaker's Almanack. Excludes Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands).

most boarding school fees are quite high - if you are looking for lower fees then how about considering state boarding schools where you pay for boarding and the tuition is provided free
