Q about bursaries and home visits

My DS went for an interview at local indie on the 7th - and I had a brief interview with the out-reach worker.

It stated in some written information regarding bursaries - after they had examined my income, proof of income, bank statements etc - that sometimes a home visit is required.

Is a home visit a good indicator of being offered a bursary? (for those with previous experience).

If we were to be offered a home visit, I would have thought we would have been contacted by now to arrange, if not, already taken place this week. It's now half term and the schools reconvene on the 24th and offer letters are sent out on the 27th, so I wouldn't have thought that it will take place in the offer/rejection week.

Advice, much appreciated.
