Prep School to Grammar
Just wondered if anyone had any experience of moving from a prep school to a state grammar into year 8? Worried that DS will not have been following the same syllabus and therefore might be 'behind'...

Not from prep to GS, but DD got an in-year place at GS from a comprehensive at the end of year 7. In preparation for the entrance test, she looked at the year 7 information booklet on the GS website, and went over the (not very many) topics in the subjects that would be tested that she hadn't yet covered. We bought the CGP KS3 Maths and Science books and she also used the BBC Bitesize website.
