Girls consortium exams

Post by herewegoagain »

Daughter is keen on City of London School for Girls but we're sitting the exam at one of the other consortium schools simply because it's much nearer to where we live. I've checked carefully with City who assure me that this will not affect her chances of getting at place at CLSG but I suppose I'm still a little suspicious that this is the 'official' line. Does anyone have any thoughts/info/experience? Thanks!

A friend's daughter sat at Channing for Channing, City of London for Girls and NLC and got into all 3. So i would believe them.

My daughter sat at City for City and Channing and got both (infact was offered scholarships for both). It's a persistent rumour but no, I don't think it's true.

I just wonder if it makes a difference for more borderline candidates. Obviously the girls in previous messages were extremely able.
