Can't believe that you would get a place at Atlantic College at this stage of the game. It's very competitive to get in. There are other colleges in the United World Colleges group (UWC) but none in the UK. But if you want to board in a mixed school that does the IB I can recommend Hockerill (a state boarding school). I have known them offer places very late in the day lower down the school (a friend of mine applied long after applications closed - June I think, maybe July - and got a waiting list place a couple of weeks before term started) but I don't know whether it is the same for the sixth form. Pastoral care is very good, though there is academic selection at the sixth form (GCSE results not an exam). Pretty sure that there are staff/admin over most of the summer. Other state boarding schools are worth looking at. I also have heard very good reports of St Davids, definitely specialise in dyslexia. The daughter of a friend went there (at 11) , who was very dyslexic went there and went on to read maths at Sheffield.
