Down to each school but the ones that I have seen are not really that detailed. Mainly about attendance, illness, whether fees have been paid up to date, whether parents are a nightmare (or rather "whether there are unresolved parental complaints"). They may ask for whatever recent scores there are, but usually they are assessing the candidates themselves.
think this is highly likely, many indies are not oversubscribed and will be competing for the same pool of children. Non payment of fees is probably the only thing that can't assess themselves and that would really concern them. All other things they may consider to be a challenge!! (nightmare parents etc) . And remember schools can always ask parents to take a child away from the school if they think that things aren't working out. ... this is from the T&C of one private school, pretty standard:
65 Removal in other Circumstances: Parents may be required, during or at the end of a term, to remove the Student, temporarily or permanently from the School, or from boarding, if, after consultation with a Student and/or Parent, the Headmaster is of the opinion that by reason of the Student’s conduct or progress, the Student is unwilling or unable to benefit sufficiently from the educational opportunities offered by the School or has an accumulation of minor offences or has failed to respond to School discipline or at the Headmaster’s discretion should it be considered that continued attendance would be detrimental to the School community, or if a Parent has treated the School or members of its staff unreasonably. In these circumstances, Parents may be permitted to withdraw the Student as an alternative to removal being required. The Headmaster shall act with procedural fairness in all such cases, and shall have regard to the interests of the Student and Parents as well as those of the School
Even if they find things aren't working out they will try to find another school - remember the kids who left Stoneyhurst for some caribbean island, they were found places at other boarding schools
