NLCS had a clash with Highgate so some of the students sitting the backup date on 14th January (Wednesday) will be girls who sat Highgate. Girls who are also applying for Habs will miss Habs by sitting the NCLS backup date on the 14th so will also be sitting the Habs backup date on the 20th! I wonder if both schools will have a different paper. I certainly hope so. DG

It may not be practical to have multiple papers, and have a comparison scale between the two scores etc.

So, my guess is that it will be the same paper. It is therefore very important for us in the forum to not discuss exact questions until say next month (most of would have forgotten the questions by then though :) )

I guess schools will try and weed out any students, who possibly took unfair advantage, at interview stage.

I will find out this morning how many girls sat the backup date yesterday so that is how many papers left to mark before they decide who to offer the interviews to. My prediction would be about 30 because of the clash with Highgate. They can mark those in a morning so they should be ready to draw up their short list this afternoon! I would expect interview offers to start appearing next week. DG

After the NLCS exam the girls were given a piece of paper that said interview offers would be made at the end of this week by email as far as I remember. Can anyone else confirm this please?

For me, that piece of paper from the school would be more than enough confirmation. Good Luck with the interview.

Hi Tiffinboys. Sorry I can see my message wasn't clear. Every girls sitting got that slip. It just said that they would email us to tell us whether our daughter was to be interviewed at the end of this week. At least I think that's the date it gave as I can't find it, which was why I need confirmation, I seem to have completely lost it. I think in all the hustle and bustle afterwards I read it and accidentally threw it out with the day's rubbish.

If anyone still has the slip could you confirm that it was this week and not next please?- I will suspend my agonies if we have longer to wait! Thanks. :)

Good luck to all with interviews. The school does its best to make it as unstressful as possible. Current NLCS parents will be there in case you have questions you'd rather not ask the staff (we have heard them all so don't be shy) and drinks and biscuits are doled out for everyone. Please don't wear smart shoes as the car park can get muddy!
