Sorry to hear that Duago and Indianmum. But great you did HBS and NLC, hope they went well. 600 girls sat Habs so the cut would have been high. [Edited by moderator] The Habs interview is a major hurdle so many more will fall at that final fence. DG

Received mixed news yesterday. DD was not offered an interview at Habs but was offered an interview at St Albans High School for Girls. This has been an amazing journey and we are grateful for the supportive comments made on the forum.

Sorry to hear that Southgatedad. St Albans is a fantastic school. 18 girls got all A stars at GCSE in August and all the girls who go there are really happy and the sport and the music is excellent too. The Habs interview is a very tough one and you are now there at St Albans if she just behaves like a team player and is inclusive in the team task. DG

DD in same position. Got an interview at Habs, but have no idea on how to prepare. Any ideas? Also, what do they want to know about the parents, as they would like to meet the parents?

Is that correct DG? Do they not cut many out at the interview stage at St Albans, except in the case that a child is obviously bossy/a bully?

I have never met any girl who got to interview and did not get an offer at St Albans. Habs is a very different matter. Lots of girls don't get past inteview. They are really looking for self starters. DG

The Habs letter strongly advises one or both parents to be present while dd gets separately interviewed. Do parents also get interviewed at Habs?

Parents get a chance to meet with senior management and ask questions about the school. It is a great system. DG
