Hi there,
Anyone know if the 'no' letters have gone out for applicants applying for 11+ entry this year? I know the second interviews are taking place but just wondering when the straight nos come out...last year it was apparently around the last week in January.
Thanks

Hi there - we haven't had a letter yet, but a boy in my son's class has had a no letter already. I think he got it on Wednesday last week :(

Still waiting!!!

Thanks bigcat for the reply! We have heard nothing since our son sat the exam. We don't know anyone else who sat it so just reading on other forums that 'no's probably out but no definitive 'all the nos are out'! I guess we won't know for sure that it's a 'yes' until we (hopefully) get a yes letter! Good luck to your son :D

We also have not heard anything, three of our friends's sons have got letters inviting them for scholarship exams which is taking place today which assures them for a place in the school for sure.
In the school website I think somewhere I read that the rejection letter is going to come by end of Jan i.e latest by this Saturday, if not then we are getting a 'yes' letter hopefully :)

Fingers crossed!

My son sat for 13+ entry so no scholarship at this time so I know we definitely won't get a scholarship letter.

I couldn't believe how many boys were there - it was quite overwhelming!

Yes you are right bigcat77, we have been seeing this everywhere. This year it seems more students have appeared for the independent school exams.

Yes, I have nothing to compare it to as it is my first experience of 11+...maybe there are a lot of speculative applications for scholarships/bursaries? Over two weeks left to wait!! I guess once we get past the end of the month we should be a bit more confident of a place ?!
