Well, if you are asking, then the '£££' presumably isn't the issue, so I would personally suggest that you consider the journey (CLSG being fairly easy to get to from quite a lot of areas of London, HBS easily accessible from some and a proper pain from quite a few) and just as importantly, which one your DD can most see herself spending the next five or seven years at? Have you taken her for repeat visits to each school, now you have her offers?

For both schools we have to move from where we are.

We also have couple of offers from inde 's where we live, which recently been rated best independent school of the year and best IB school of the year.

And that's going to be expensive move and giving up our house for 2 bed room flat for much higher price.

Travel time will be somewhat 45 minutes to 1 hour for both schools If I decide to take house or flat in Pinner , welwyn or high barnet area.

Hbs fee free option is attractive and no doubt it's great school

But what about exposure like guest speakers and trips to places other than europe etc.

Few parents whome I met in clsg offer holders day
saying hbs will be more pressurised environment.

I want my dd to be educated all around not just acadamic...

These days just having A*A*A*A* won't help.

Please share your views...

I can't speak for HBS, but DDs GS have plenty of outside speakers (Robert Winston and Maggoe Philbin are names I remember). They also have trips to Europe too. DD will likely be going to Germany some time next year.

Check to see what HBS actually offer.

Help with what exactly? I can absolutely assure you that it will...provided that someone manages to remain sane, grounded and rounded in having attained them.

But at the heart of this is a ten year old girl. What is her view? How does she feel about these schools, and the prospect of her family uprooting for her to attend one of them? This feels like a shopping spree for 'a good education', rather than a holistic look at what might suit a child. I hope I am wrong.

Then don't. You want a grounded/rounded/academically successful child, you have an offer from a highly rated local school where her friends will be local, she will not spend 10 hours a week commuting and you can live in a house as opposed to having to uproot and move a smaller property? No brainer IMO.
