waiting game

Post by heidiho »

I have been keeping in the background since my DS missed the mark for Grammar school.

Well he has just sat 2 independent school exams over the past two weeks! I am sooooooo nervous! He said he really enjoyed both days and am proud of him for that. I so hope he passes, but am preparing him for failure; again!

There seem to be alot of applicants to places!

This forum has helped me keep going! So thank you. x

Hi Heidiho,

Did DS sit for Loughborough and Ratcliffe or did he sit elsewhere and when should you find out his results?

Fingers crossed! :)

Hi, Yes he sat both Ratcliffe and Loughborough. Should know Loughborough by 31st Jan; Ratcliffe have not said an actual date. Came out really positive, although most seemed too, although thought the maths was more difficult at Loughborough.

We have just been called for an interview! DS cried when we told him "at least it's not a no" he said!
Very nervous, not sure what they will ask!?

well done to your DS - it is a great acheivement to get through the exams, I really feel for all the kids that go through this process - it's not an ideal situation but it is worth the effort!

Congratulations to you both!

Sorry don't have any advice as don't know the schools :)

YES!!!!!!! My Ds envelope has arrived and he has been offered a place!

Can't believe it! After missing the 11+ for grammar school I did not think he would pass this!

Thank you all for your support, and best of luck to everyone else! :D
