Update - Sports Scholarship Assessment

Post by Freya »

Well DS had his sports scholarship assessment day yesterday and thinks he did well. We were surprised that the tests only lasted an hour and DS was a bit put out that the only team thing they did was netball - but he scored 2 goals and defended well according to him. He was also chuffed that a 14 year old girl who is a netball 'specialist' came up to him and said "you're really good" (he hates netball! LOL).
There were also some agility / speed exercises with ladders, mini-hurdles and cones which went ok.

He also had an interview with the Head and was very happy with that as there were no tricky questions involving desert islands or matchstick fish and he got to talk about his sporting achievements. He also said they had a nice chat about Hitler and WWII (history is his favourite!)

Afterwards DS said that he now prefers this school to the one he has offers from because everyone was so friendly and he enjoyed the day! Let's hope he gets a similar offer now - exam on Saturday! Fingers crossed!

Is this Christ's? Wouldn't that be great logistically then! Fingers crossed! :D
