How should we spend the final week before these tests?
Should we keep their noses to the grindstone or would they be better served if we let the school take the strain?
Tips and advice please - or even what you plan to do

Nothing...just carry on as normal, making sure he gets plenty of fresh air, good food and sleep

And fun - lots of fun! It's excruciatingly boring for them at school at the moment.

In total agreement with what is posted already - let the school do the rest.

Give your child plenty of rest time, nutritious food, fresh air, exercise and quality sleep.

I'm delighted to say that my DS and his year 6 are on school journey this week on the Isle of Wight! Just what they need.

Might be at that, ours came back from his Y6 residential on top form. Although a little smelly and exhausted.

It's the school that's being tested not the children. It's something to get over and done with - at least there will be no more boring, repetitive practice tests.
