When DD was in year 4, At parents evening, her teacher said "Well, T is brilliant." Then he just stopped and stared at us. We didn't know what to comment but it became clear he had nothing to add either. There was this drawn out silence then he said "She's just brilliant." and that was it. I asked if there was anything she needed to develop, "nope." so she could skip the rest of her schooling then?

This reminds me of a parents ' evening when we were told something similar. " H is a fabulous student, a model student really...I wish they were all like her."
"How lovely", said I , "and I expect her parents must be really pleased. Now would you mind telling me how my daughter is getting on?".
