Any idea how the second column works? It says there are 195 children assessed in our local school - but there is only 1 form of 29 or 30!!

Judging by DS3's school this is the total number of children in the school.

Labelling it "Number of eligible pupils" is deceiving as this implies year 6 only.

I think it may be a bit random...

The "number eligible" figures look fine for Yr6 at the Southend on Sea schools. In some areas - not on remote islands  - the figure is under 10, so surely must be just Yr6? I did wonder about the size of Central Bedfordshire's Middle Schools, though (reading table in The Times not Telegraph), as the smallest Number Eligible is 71 but most well up in the 100 - 200 range.

Try this instead:

If you click on this link it will take you through to a booklet for all Kent schools which is published by the DfE and has far more info than the newspaper versions. Then, if you find out the code for your LEA (google for it), and replace the 886 with your LEA code number, you will get the booklet for all the schools in your authority.

Enjoy!
