All the 2013 and earlier KS2 SATS papers are now downloadable via the Department of Education STA Orderline - sort by most recent first to find the newest ones.

Some schools may be other tests too, but papers for those aren't usually available.

Every state school takes the KS2 tests which are inaccurately called SATS. Some schools also do CATs which are different.

Hi

The 11+ is out of the way for ds1. My thoughts are now turning to the Y6 KS2 writing paper. Can anyone advise if it is a choice of compositions to write. Or is there just the one. Are there any types that need to be prepared for ie reports, factal, letters etc.

Many thanks

Writing is teacher assessed - there is no KS2 test now.

They should do enough in school without needing to do extra practice at home. I have no idea what my dc were did for SATs other than they both did very well just with the input they got in school.

Just tried to download a 2012 paper (just to see whether I could, really :) ) and was told I couldn't, because I wasn't a school...

Year 2011 and below work. I suspect the schools are still using 2012/2013 for in house assessment.

you could try e-maths too, but I dare say that the school will be using past papers a lot!
